Missouri's religious freedom bill

This article talks about a bill that the supporters think it promotes religious freedom and the people that do not like the bill say it discriminates against same sex couples. On Monday in Missouri the state Senate started the filibuster. The bill is trying to protect the people that work in religious organizations from the state. The people who wrote the bill say that they took a lot of time writing it and tried to not make it a controversy topic, but it turned out to be a big topic that is split between the people who support and the people that don't support.
I believe that this bill should become apart of the constitution because the all churches are different so that means they all have different opinions about this topic. So some churches accept same sex marriage and some don't so they all should be able to choose and not be penalized by the state for not allowing it. I personal don't agree with same sex marriage because of religious reason and the bible but I think if one gets sick and has to go to the hospital then their wife\husband should be able to see them and make medical decisions for them.
This relates to AP Government because we have been learning about discrimination which is the unjust treatment of different categories of people. This also relates to AP Government because we have learned about the senate and what he does and right now we are learning about the steps of a bill being passed. For a bill to be passed it has to go through committee action then it is referred to the Subcommittee next they have hearings for it then they vote and last it is override or vetoed.
